Fatal - A Somber Evocation Of Nihilism ep 1990

I don't know too much about this band from America apart from the fact that their music is amazing. Real heavy technical Death Metal that is full of hooks. It's one of the better ep's released by the French label "Thrash" back in the early 90's. I think this was their only official release apart from a Demo. Anyway give it a spin you won't be disappointed.

Ha ha ha...Tony Hamera contact address. Where I am sitting right now is probably a few miles from that address. He's the one on the left in the back cover photo. He was in Caelum Bliss, sort of an electronic gothwave thing, a fixture of the Detroit 90s scene. He worked at the Tempermill studio where a band I was playing with in 1996, Kathode, cut our side of a 7" split with Japanese thrashers Voidd. This came out on MCR Company in 1997 or 98. This also featured Andrew Wilkes-Krier on drums before he moved to NYC and became Andrew W. K.

Tony was selected because he actually had some knowledge of black metal and fixed up the mix after we recorded and mixed it with Jim Diamond, a noted local producer but more for rock n' roll and rockabilly stuff.

Great blog, especially the manic Japanese stuff.

this is really good and suprisingly catchy, it almost sounds like zouo or gism.

I have been looking for this 7" since mine was destroyed. A real tragedy they did not go on. one of my favorite 7"s of the late 80's early 90's and I had 1000's just a rare gem that was never really meant to go any where kind of a project. THANK YOU FOR SHARING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
