Dystopia were the kings of the depressive sludge crust genre and released some epic records whilst Suffering Luna are more on the fringes and offer a different take on the genre with haunting compositions that explode in to chaos. I do prefer their split LP with Gasp to this track but it's still a winner.Dystopia - Diary Of A Battered Child
Suffering Luna - La Reina Del Rosario
Life Is Abuse.

SxLx used to be called Christfall (same style essentially...Christfall was a bit more "hXc"). Cole from FYP/Toys That Kill designed their side of their cover. I still think it's his face actually, though he denied it.
But yeah, SxLx were an amazing band...there's material out there they never released either as SxLx or Christfall...I'd love to hear it.
Dystopia is amazing. If you have the Aftermath you should put it up. please!
I do have "Aftermath" as a one side 12" with a cool etched b-side. I can post this if you want?
That would make my week
there are new Dystopia songs from their new/last upcoming record on their myspace... i don't know, i was pretty excited about it.
The dystopia album is just six unrealeased tracks from 2005 there spliting up its there last release.
Great blog here! SxL were from South Gate, California and played one of their first shows with Mindrot (that's why they got asked to do this split). Yeah, ChristFall was their first name and these dudes WORSHIPPED Godflesh. Didn't the guy from FYP drum for them awhile?
thank you so much
